One third of trustees must retire by rotation at each AGM. Any of them deciding to stand again, together with any Trustees nominated by members, up to a maximum of twelve trustees, will be subject to a formal vote of members. Additional Trustees can be nominated at any time, within the total of twelve, and can be co-opted by the existingTrustees. Members are particularly encouraged to nominate Trustees or to supply volunteers for an operational role.
Volunteer individual services
We are always faced with more opportunities than we have resources for and members are invited to encourage their own volunteers and members to volunteer their services.
The Federation is run by its members for its members and a key priority is establishing the mind of its members for input to other bodies, national statutory authorities and the Government. Involvement of the membership at all levels, and in any amount, in our Policy Groups and consultations is highly desirable.
Acting as a media Spokesperson on behalf of our members as a whole
A number of members have volunteered to act in this role and there is always a place for more.
Maximising the involvement of members, establishing good communications with them and developing Federation Policy and Services is seen as being greatly dependent on the building up of regional activities.
