Using the Web Features of the Board
The Web Features of the message board are supplied by Smartgroups, an independent service. They are accessible both to read and write only to the members of the board and and are quite separate from the UK Fed's own web site which is read-accessible to anyone and is updated by the UK Fed itself.
Members, once accepted will receive messages, including attachments, and can post messages without using the web features using the email address smallvoices.org@smartgroups.com but there are many options which can only be used via the web features
They include:
- setting the members own preferences such as whether to receive all messages
- posting and reading files
- searching the full message history
- participating in formal votes
To use the Web features you will need to do the following:
- remember and bookmark the home page of the message board. This is http://www.smartgroups.com/groups/smallvoices.org
- (I'm not sure about this - obtain a username and password from smartgroups)
