An invitation from the Chair, Philip Dixon-Phillips

Since I was appointed as Chair at the 2004 AGM in Ely I have been mulling over how we can best resume more regular communications with members. One of the problems of having very little funding in recent years is that we have not been able to send out our newsletter nor to encourage members to send us their news, views and problems. Now that so many of our members have access to email we feel it is time to make more use of this. This was a key proposal in the business plan we developed as a basis for our (unsuccessful) application to renew our Lottery funding.

For the unpaid committee which runs the Federation it will be convenient to be able to put information out more quickly. You the members can share your news and your good practices with other members.

Of course, there will be members who do not have access to email, and who have missed, as we have, our once regular mailings. We hope they will make use of this facility when they can.

Tell us when you have done something new in your local trust, or when you hear information on the grapevine you would like to share. Tell us the topics you think are most important to you; perhaps these will also be important to others.
