BUSINESS
1 - Pat Still welcomed everyone. It was noted the meeting was inquorate, but will take place, voting went ahead and was published. Pat announced that as she had been Chair for 5 yrs she would be standing down.
2 - It was asked why there had been no AGM since 2001. There had been no funds for circulation of letters/forms.
3 - Bill Craggs gave the Treasurer's report. He has asked the Prime Minister to intervene with Companies House as UK Fed were given a fine for registering late. This was not true as their cheque had been cashed in time. Summary of accounts were accepted. Bill resigned as Treasurer & Trustee to spend more time with his family.
4 - Tony Heyes proposed vote of thanks to Bill & Mike Ewing seconded. Phillip Newhouse proposed vote of thanks to Pat & Mike Ewing seconded.
5 - Officers will not be elected until the next trustees' meeting.
6 - Now UK Fed are in a better financial situation, more can be offered to affiliated groups. Web site is to be updated .
7 - Chair was taken by Elna Brunin for voting on Trustees. All trustees were elected. Officers will be elected at the next trustee meeting. Philip Dixon Phillips took position as Chair, & Jim Clarke as Secretary for remainder of meeting.
8 - Other trustees can be co-opted & will be invited by newsletter.
9 - Bill Craggs is going on a sponsored bike ride in the Grand Canyon. If anyone else is interested, at a cost of £2,000, to raise funds for UK Fed please contact Bill.
10 - Martin Smith thanked UK Fed for involving Life Craft & making links.
11 - David Thomas noted thanks to Matthew Trust for their offer of £500 towards this AGM.
12 - Philip Dixon Phillips said there will be more consolidation and communication in future. We will be making more connections & proposing more aims & objectives.
13 - Philip Dixon Phillips closed meeting.
