The Forum is run under the auspices of Bracknell Forest Borough Council Mental Health Services and has the following aims:
  1. To work towards the improvement of services for people with mental health problems in Bracknell Forest.

  2. To identify gaps in services and develop proposals to address those gaps.

  3. To develop expertise in the field of mental health services and their development and the related research.

  4. To operate as an inclusive group which any individual or agency interested in mental health may join.

  5. To elect four representatives to the Mental Health Steering Group. These representatives must include at least one user of mental health services, one carer and one representative of a voluntary agency.

  6. To consider and debate the plans of the Mental Health Steering Group and make the views of the Forum known.

The Forum meets each month, usually on the penultimate Tuesday morning.
