The Focus on Mental Health Group 

                

Focus on Mental Health is a forum of nearly all the UK National Groups working in mental health. We are working towards common objectives especially in the direction of helping to create a positive climate of opinion towards mental health and to combat the fear and anxiety attached to mental illness.

One of our recent activities has been to draw upon the existing work already being done by many Focus members towards improving the employment position for mental health sufferers. Previous activities have had a strong media and 'stigma' orientation. A project on poverty funded by the DfEE has just been completed.
