DESCRIPTION Centre established in 1988 outgrew its original premises and is now situated in the front part of a former nursing home, refurbished with financial support from the Lottery Board.Now full building is in operation with Rehabilitation services like Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy, Chiropody, Screening, diabetic sessions, Gymnasium etc.
SERVICES Provides culturally sensitive day care services (both social and preventive health care) to elderly people. Include free transport; yoga, exercise, meditation, indoor games, library, language classes, handicrafts and entertainment; tours and trips; vegetarian hot lunch available daily.advice and advocacy; talks by medical specialists, health screening eg for diabetes, hypertension, physiotherapy; outreach worker and home visits to ill, frail and disabled; respite care.
